The photographs in Origin[Redux} speculatively imagine what the pinnacle of western technological civilization, Los Angeles, might look like once humans no longer impact it. The images depict small pockets of wilderness which exist right now. Often they are overlooked in our daily lives but reside mere steps from the freeways, buildings, and factories that ensnare this part of Southern California. They imbue a refreshing primitiveness that are a reminder of the state of the earth before we arrived, and what it will return to when we are gone.
Project Process: All photographs were made using a traditional large format camera a black and white negative film.
